All The Stars
Me and procrastination are involved in a dance off right now. It isn’t a Waltz, or the Salsa so let’s refer to it as the Cha Cha. The Cha Cha doesn’t have an obvious lead we both just move to the rhythm of the song and oh my goodness for a few weeks I have let it pick our melody. I engaged and entertained all these thoughts to see what would come of them. I wasn’t blind, I was paying attention this time and I learned a few things. I noticed stuff I missed on our previous dates.
I literally must give away my control to be distracted. Control cannot be taken from me; nothing can make me do a thing. Everything is a choice. Often unhealthy things are dressed in temporary satisfaction. Like buying the shoes when you’re saving for a house, going on the date with the person you know better than to go out with proclaiming grace or playing on Instagram instead of writing your book. On a small scale we think, I deserve a break or to gift myself, I’ll do it later, a little sidetrack won’t hurt but on a big scale, WHO HAS TIME TO WASTE!?! There are 24 hours in a day. That is it. 1,440 minute and 86,400 seconds. How are you using those? Did you contribute to your God given purpose any today? What prevented you from not? What in our routine can make or break our destiny? Something! Did you create a plan or think about a goal? I applaud you if you have, I even applaud you if you haven’t and were honest with yourself. Either way we must take ourselves seriously. We try not to allow others to waste our time because we allow that behavior from ourselves. Imagine how far we could be if 90% of the things we told ourselves to do toward our future we did. Financially, spiritually and mentally how much further would you be??? Reach the stars. I believe in you. We’re blessed. We get 24 hours in each day, lol.... #ChooseWisely #LoveHard #NoteToSelf #SincerelyJam
