I started 75 Hard a week ago. 75 Hard is a program to jump start your discipline by following five rules for 75 days straight. Each day you must drink a gallon of water, do two 45-minute workouts (one workout must be outside), read 10 pages of a self-help book (no audiobooks allowed), and follow a food plan geared towards weight loss. Oh, and absolutely no alcohol. If you fall off at all you must start the entire 75 days over. Mind you I play with Weight Watchers and rarely exercise so I was super excited to increase my dedication and see the weight fall off in the process.

Day 2, I got lightheaded. On Day 3, I got lightheaded.šŸ«  I did my research and consulted a few fitness people to narrow down what needed to be edited to prevent a decline in my health. I found out I either needed more carbs, more protein, drink less water, workout less or keep going to give my body time to adjust to all the new things I was exposing it to. Now y'all know nobody but God knows me better than me and my gut was telling me it was too much water. One day I got sleepy immediately after downing water, it was like I ate Thanksgiving dinner, lol, and my lips were even dry.šŸ¤” Typically, the dryer my lips the more water I need to drink but Iā€™d drunk over three gallons in the last three days. Going down the too much water rabbit hole I discovered I may I been overworking my kidneys by drinking water fast and more than a person my size needs on any day. Something had to give but since Iā€™m a very literal person I felt if I modified 75 Hard at all I might as well quit.šŸ˜” Knowing I desperately need discipline I finished out the week drinking less water, took the weekend off andā€¦ Started 75 Jam!

While doing my 75 Hard research I started wondering if I was using this discipline challenge as another distraction from the things I actually need to get done. Iā€™ve notice I create new projects and help other people with really dope things in lieu of completing things the Lord told me to do. Funny thing is I never think twice about it under the farce of itā€™s productive. That my friends, is called disobedience, there is zero discipline in that and enough is enough. 75 Jam is all about me and my reverence to God. Plus hard is one of my least favorite words and what better way to get disciplined than to do all the stuff I need discipline in. I am committed to 1 liter and 2 wine glasses of water a day (yes I drink water in wine glasses and itā€™s about 24 ozšŸ’…šŸ¾), reading my bible and meditating every morning, writing one paragraph of my book or screenplays daily (I write more but the goal is to startšŸ¤“), follow Weight Watches, be five minutes early to all engagements and follow the half marathon training program.

Day 76 Iā€™ll run my 1st half marathon and head into better days. These are things I want to consistently do when 75 Jam is over so it made sense. Are you using anything as a ā€œpositive distractionā€? Occupying your time with things that have nothing to do with your goals or the life you want? Stop playing yourself, youā€™re champion! And do me a favor, please pray for me and let this be a reminder that this is your life, get out of it what you need. #SincerelyJamšŸ¤ŸšŸ¾
