Cross My Mind

You ever seen the quotes about when someone crosses your mind call them? That was a belief of mine for eons. I used to call coworkers from three jobs ago on their birthday, lol, ex’s moms on Mother’s Day, I was captain of the keep in touch team. Now when people cross my mind, I say a prayer for them and mind my business. Previously I thought it was noble of me to take the time out and send a nice message and maybe at that time it was but now I’m thinking it ain’t not noble, it isn’t unnice and ain’t nobody doing it for me. Can you image texting every person you’ve ever known Happy Birthday on their birthday?!? That’s insane. Now please note when I say nobody is doing it for me, I’m not on some matching energy stuff cause we don’t do that here yet I am an advocate of equity and time being an investment. I’m still team be kinder than you need to be, and I understand sometimes we receive from different places than we pour but imagine if we did receive from where we poured. Imagine an abundance of reciprocity.

How good does it feel for your cup to be consistently overflowing? Amazing, right!?! We deserve amazing! I’m not suggesting some ultra-high standard, boxed in thing, honestly, I’m not even suggesting anything cause I’m not clear on this, yet I just know I wanna share amazing with my people therefore I must curate a life that breeds that. Plus, I am a much busier human now; when I overlook the calendar reminder I beat myself up cause I forgot to send a happy birthday text when in actuality I don’t owe any of these people anything, lol, some of these people’s numbers can be deleted from my phone. What does it tell our body if we’re steadily giving stuff to people whose time in our life has expired? What is it telling God, that we don’t wanna move forward??? It’s not Christlike to steward our time wrong and how much will we have for those current in our lives or ourselves if we’re being frivolous with our energy? No malice to the old, always grace and mercy, so zero hard feelings or chips on our shoulders just making sure our resources are allocated correctly and responsibly. Think about how little resistance life would have if we stewarded our energy well. I want no resistance and I’m gon’ get it, lol! I want to pour from an overflowing cup and keep my people’s thrust quenched. Not sure if this is the path for that or what else is needed for the trip but I’ma tap in with God to see. As always it will be my pleasure to share what I find so please, stay tuned!🦋 #SincerelyJamara
