He Loves Me
I don’t like homework. Never have. I like to get things done unless I’m intrigued, and I want to learn more, give it to me now and all of it. ….Dang that just made me realize something about myself but we’ll talk about that another week…😮💨 Any who my therapist asked me to define love as homework. After I told her I wasn’t fond of homework but here we are, lol. It’s the first assignment I’m actually doing in advance and it’s mostly because I was low-key stumped by the question. Yes, me, the self-proclaimed love enthusiast with multiple hearts tattooed on her couldn’t define it. I mean I know what it feels like to be in love, I know what it feels like to miss love but what IS love?
I know God is love. I know agape, philia, storge and eros are different types. I know Acts of Service and Physical Touch are my primary love languages. I know love is not a feeling, cause when loving and being loved we feel all types of emotions. I decided it’s us. You, me, we are love. It’s actions, words and feelings bundled together as a living breathing life force. That’s why some experience love at first sight, they can see it like that breath of fog when someone speaks while it’s cold. That’s why we share love with pets and not with plants, although they both are alive. That’s why love can be unhealthy, people can be broken, healing and whole all while experiencing love; because it’s us. We are love. I say we share it! Share the love. And the next time you forget what it feels like and want to get it from somewhere else remember to share it with yourself because you are an infinite source. We are made in God’s image; we are love. #SincerelyJam
