Yes, Indeed
On Saturday I went to my orthodontist. I am in the middle of my Invisalign process; it’s similar to braces but instead of metal you swap clear trays weekly that slowly move your teeth to your desired goal. Originally, they said my aligning process would take 9-12 months, they scanned my mouth and made trays. I get a checkup monthly and start a new tray weekly. Week 30 I was scheduled to receive my next set of trays but at week 23/24 my aligners became ill fitted. All this being new to me, although it hurt, I thought it was part of the process and didn’t say anything until week 26. By that time, my trays started giving me a headache and wouldn’t stay on. Somewhere along the way I stopped wearing them consistently so my progress was off track which throw all my trays off track. My orthodontist re-scanned my mouth and when I received my new trays They Fit Perfectly.
Since I had to wait for the new trays to arrive, I had a couple of weeks of no progress all because I played around trying to force the ones that I knew did not fit... Do y’all hear me?!? I tried to force something that I knew did not fit and no matter what I did I had to realign to get to where I needed to be. Hindsight, I should have continued wearing tray 23 or 24 for the correct amount of time but being in a rush, I lost time, doubted myself and experienced unnecessary pain. Now my new trays are in alignment and conducive to my goal. I had to recalibrate! See God gives us intuition; we are brilliant especially when it comes to what is best for ourselves and we’re tapped into Him. We know what isn’t healthy, what is and we can mess our progress up with simple inconsistencies or going too fast. Reset. Remember the goal, feel your feelings and make the proper edits to your process. What is yours is tailor made, you will know it, force will not be necessary and it will be at the perfect time. Stop engaging in things that don’t fit the life you deserve. #SincerelyJam💋
